Initial Exam:

An examination of the hard tissues (teeth, bone) and soft tissues (lips, gums, tongue) of your mouth to help find any pathologies such as caries (teeth decay), damaged restorations, and bone loss (gum disease). This evaluation includes an oral cancer screening. An intraoral camera is used to present the findings for your better understanding. With the exam comes a diagnosis and establishment of the different treatment options.

Cleanings:

A dental prophylaxis where any deposits like calculus and plaque found on the teeth above the gum line will be gently removed with ultrasonic technology followed by polishing of the teeth to help prevent adherence of new deposits. This procedure should be done at least every six months to ensure healthy bone, gums and ligaments which are the support tissues of the teeth.

Digital Dental X Rays:

Obtaining X rays permits the dentist to examine the teeth and maxillary bones and to find any hidden pathologies such as caries, bone loss, abscesses, cysts, etc. Digital X-rays reduce the exposure to radiation by as much as 80% so they are very safe. Another advantage with digital X rays is that once the image is saved we can enhance it for better visualization.
